Made a reservation via Instagram DM a couple of days in advance. Both the matron and the chef speak good English and were very welcoming and incredibly friendly. They were both very engaging and we had a lot of fun conversation throughout the evening. As with most omakase spots, it’s a small, intimate space where you can really see the expertise of the chef at work, preparing the very fresh fish that he has purchased that morning to perfection. The food was incredible, and explanations of the food were given in both English and Korean. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an omakase sushi spot in Kyoto.

Had the omakase experience and it couldn’t have been better. The food was excellent, the fish were super fresh and the sushiman - and owner of the restaurant - and his wife were suoer friendly and really did their best to make us feel welcomed. If you are looking for an omakase in Kyoto, this is the place! Keep in mind thar reservations are required and made via Instagram.

Had a omakase course for our wedding anniversary. This was really excellent, a special event. The sushi was perfect and looked like a work of art. The owner / chef and his wife were the perfect hosts and you could tell he loved his work. Only seats about 10 people so booking is essential. There are many sushi restaurants in Kyoto but you wont go wrong with this one
